Bottled water companies have long been making claims about the health benefits and purity of their water.  Some even go so far as to spread miss-placed claims about tap water saying that it is unsafe.  One such company, Real Water, made such outlandish claims on their website that The Guardian newspaper decided to investigate.  They asked some scientists whether the claims on Real Water's website were at all plausible, and the resounding answer was no!

Remember, bottled water companies know that they are trying to sell you a product that you can already get for free from your tap. They've had to manufacture demand for bottled water and unfortunately have done so very succesfully.  Take everything they say with a pinch of salt!
