School reduces costs for students.

Ringmer Community College in East Sussex has installed 4 mains fed water machines enabling students and staff to have chilled tap water for free. Using the natural tap water resource already available and paid for through their water rates Ringmer College have taken a bold step to rid the campus of plastic waste. Mr Steve Green from the college is a man on a mission to make Ringmer the greenist school in Britain. Students are also supporting the school by buying stainless steel reusable bottles (photo inset) available from the in-house tuck shop. Purchase of the bottle by students allows Ringmer to offset the machine set up costs. From next year the school will insist that reusable bottles become part of the school uniform saving parents hundreds of pounds per year hydrating their children.
